Gift-card Terms of Use and Sale
The following Le Creuset typology of cards are available for sale:
(I) in store, you can buy a gift-card.
(II) In store you can also buy a gift -card by means of a distance selling solution (such as Pay by link) which will be delivered to the address stated when placing the order
The online option purchase is not available at the moment.

Le Creuset gift-card can be redeemed in the New Zealand (Territory), in the Le Creuset Boutiques (stand- alone stores) or Le Creuset Factory Outlets. At the moment we cannot offer our Gift Cards on our website. The Gift Cards cannot be used to buy our Le Creuset products at any third-party retailer store(s)/web site(s).

the Gift-card is valid for 36 months starting from the date of the purchase.
3.1 The Gift Cards are ready for use:
  • Immediately, when purchased in the store;
  • When purchased by means of a distance selling solution from the store, it will physically delivered to the address your requested to us within the Territory.
3.2 To check the purchase date, if you have received the Gift Cards as a gift;

When the card has been purchased in the store, the purchase date and total credit value is printed on the gift receipt, which is attached to the gift-card within the envelope.

When the card has been purchased from distance selling, please ask for confirmation from the buyer as the 36 months start from the purchase date.

3.3 Please note that: At the end of the validity period we will not refund any balance remaining and we will invalidate the Gift-card.
3.4 Buying a product or making a balance enquiry does not refresh the 36-month expiry period.
3.5 At the expiration date of the Gift-Card, the same cannot be re-activated.

If the buyer is a consumer and if the card is bought by means of a distance selling as the pay by link solution, a period of 14 days to cancel the sale contract and being reimbursed is allowed by the consumer legislation. Please note that: the 14 days starts from the day after the delivery. The request to withdrawal must be addressed by the buyer.

If the recipient/card holder redeems any value by the means of using the card within the 14 days, the card cannot then be canceled by the buyer.

The cancellation period will end on the day that the gift-card was redeemed or partially redeemed.

When you buy your gift-card through a distance selling, your order is accepted and a contract is created when we send to you a confirmation email with the details of the gift-card purchased.

We are able to deliver it within the Territory only.

Delivery is within 7 to 10 business days. Please note that business days are Monday to Friday but exclude public holidays. Every effort will be made to meet these delivery timescales, but this cannot be guaranteed in some parts of the Territory.

We are not responsible for delays outside our control. In this case we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund.

When you become responsible for the Gift-card delivered. The Gift-card will be your responsibility from the time we deliver it to the address you gave us and you or a designed person pick up the parcel.

The gift-card can be purchased in our shops and, with a minimum value of NZS$5 and a maximum value of NZ$1000

You can check at any time your balance by visiting our website, contacting our consumer service at: customerservices.nz@lecreuset.com or by visiting our stores.

Gift-cards cannot be exchanged for cash. We do not give change or refunds on gift-cards.

If you are using a gift-card and the total order value is less than the value of the card, any balance will remain on the card and may be applied to future purchases, provided that the card has not expired.

Please protect your card. We are not responsible if any Gift-card gets lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission.

The card is issued by Le Creuset New Zealand Limited a company registered in New Zealand with NZCN 4579796 (NZBN 9429030111684) and whose registered office is at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway Auckland Ltd, 9th Floor, 45 Queen Street, Auckland, 1010, New Zealand.

When the card is purchased online or by means of a distance selling solution, in addition of the present Gift-card Terms of Use and Sale, the Terms and Conditions for the online sales apply, where applicable (Terms & Conditions | Le Creuset). In case of any conflict between the present Terms and the Terms and Conditions, these Terms shall prevail.

When you purchase, receive or redeem a Gift-card, you agree that the laws of New Zealand will govern these Gift-card Terms of Use and Sale.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring safe and secure online and offline shopping.

The cards are issued and managed through our external valued partner Givex UK Corporation Limited Palladium House 1-4 Argyll Street London W1F 7LD, Company registration:05054666 VAT: 863272614. Givex is designated by Le Creuset as Data Processor for the purpose of the performance of the said Cards. Le Creuset New Zealand Ltd is Data Controller.

In particular Givex will:
  • (i) provide to Le Creuset the Gift cards solution to allow our customers to purchase and apply credit to a gift card and to redeem the same in our stores;
  • (ii) create and send the email for the e-gift cards purchased online on behalf of Le Creuset.

(Services).

For online gift card purchases: Givex, in order to perform the Services, will have to process the following personal data which will be requested during the online purchase:

  • Name and surname of the buyer and, when given, of the recipient.
  • Email account of the buyer and, where given, of the recipient.
  • Physical Address of delivery.
  • Gift card transaction history.

Givex and Le Creuset will process and retain your personal data, as described above, for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, according to the legal and tax requirements, after which it will be destroyed or rendered unusable.
